Money, Money, Money

Money, Money, Money!  It all seems so important now but will mean absolutely nothing on the day of our funeral.  I know, it sounds so bleak but the perspective is accurate.
Psalm 49:16-17 Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich, When the glory of his house is increased; 17 For when he dies he will carry nothing away; His glory will not descend after him.

Perhaps one of the most amazing things about money and even material objects is that they can greatly enhance our eternal life.  Not because we can take them with us, but because Jesus himself told us to store up treasures in Heaven.  Wow, imagine that, we can take an object and use it to invest in the eternal.  Imagine this...if I use a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, which I thoroughly enjoy anything wich chocolate and peanut butter and use it to bless someone else or show them God's love, I can store up treasure in Heaven.  Anything we have, whether it be great or minor, can be used to impact our future in Heaven.  God wants us to invest, just make sure you invest in what is truly important.  Still not convinced that money is an eternal topic, 15% of Jesus' words deal with finances, that's more than his entire recorded words on Heaven and Hell combined.  If Heaven and Hell are important, then money is too!
